NightNight, a new electro-alternative project by Haddad

Posted on 28/01/202207/02/2022 By Chris Relkneus

On 28th January 2022, Yasmin Maryam Haddad’s New York-based electro-alternative project NightNight released her album debut “Love Decayed”.

NightNight is the new electro-alternative project from Yasmin Maryam Haddad. The classically trained violinist, guitarist, vocalist and sound engineer, who currently lives in Brooklyn, New York, originally has her roots in the Las Vegas music scene.
Haddad often performed on the Las Vegas Strip with local bands, quickly earning her reputation as a talented musician and producer. She was noticed by THE KILLER, who invited her to play violin on their album “Sam’s Town”.

After leaving Las Vegas, Haddad moved to Seattle, WA. Here she immersed herself further in the local music and recording scene. She produced there at Clatter & Din Studios, among other venues. NightNight was formed during her time in Seattle. NightNight is influenced by Yasmin’s idols Massive Attack, Garbage, Depeche Mode and Bat for Lashes.

Her intimate love for analog synthesizers, which she skillfully combines with innovative modern sounds and live instruments to create her unique sound, can be felt in every song on “Love Decayed”. The album “Love Decayed” was produced by her musical role model Sylvia Massey, who has also worked for Prince, Tool, System of A Down and R.E.M.!
