The Quinsy’s new album is a feverish post-punk masterpiece

Posted on 23/10/2021 By Chris Relkneus

The Quinsy’s new album, Feverish Post-Punk Masterpiece

The Quinsy band was formed in Saint Petersburg, Russia in 2001. The name of this band reflects their musical roots in traditional Russian folk songs.

During the band’s formulation, the sound changed several times but in each era, there was a psychedelic essence that has endured. The Quinsy is one of the bands in history to write their own songs and to produce their own music, which is an unusually well-suited combination for psychedelia.

In recent years, the Quinsy has adapted to the changing political and social situation in Russia. Yes, the band still performs songs in English, but they also sing in Russian. The Quinsy hopes that by adapting to modern Russia, they will be able to reach a broader audience who will understand their songs and support their music.

As the world becomes a smaller place, it is not unusual to see people from different cultures come together and work with each other. This is what the brainchild brain behind the electronic synthwave band The Quinsy did when they recorded their album “To Feed Your Fever”. Known for its collaborations, this band has gone one step further by recording their first song in French.

The singer of the band The Quinsy has a very distinct voice and sound. He is known for his way with words and how he is able to combine different genres of music in one song with meaning. All of these elements together with the lyrics and the melodies create a perfect mix.

The Quinsy’s sound: “a mix of postpunk and posthardcore styles”
