MELØ: The Rising Star of Electro-Pop

Posted on 19/03/2023 By Chris Relkneus

# MELØ: The Rising Star of Electro-Pop

If you are a fan of futuristic synth-pop with a modern edge, you might want to check out MELØ, a Canadian singer-songwriter and producer who is making waves in the music scene with his catchy and captivating songs.

MELØ (pronounced Mee-Low) is based in Windsor, Ontario, and has been releasing music since 2019. His debut EP, Things We Lost, came out in June 2021 and received rave reviews from critics and fans alike. The EP showcases MELØ’s versatility and creativity as he blends influences from 80s pop, rock, EDM, and R&B into his own unique sound.

One of the standout tracks from the EP is “Paralyzed”, a dark and danceable anthem that explores the feeling of being stuck in a toxic relationship. The song features MELØ’s smooth vocals over a pulsating beat and synth-driven melodies. The lyrics are honest and relatable as he sings: “I’m paralyzed by your love / I can’t get enough / You’re like a drug that I can’t quit / You make me sick but I need it”.
