Klammer // New Single Progress (or Lack Of) // Post Punk // Out Now

Posted on 25/01/2022 By Chris Relkneus

One of Britain’s most revered, underground heavy metal groups releases its new single.

“Progress (or Lack Of)”

features on The Day Before Yesterday album, released on Friday 25th February via Heavy Metal Records.

Leeds based four-piece KLAMMER play an amalgamation of Post Punk, Gothic Rock, Darkwave – all pummeling, energetic, angular, melodic dark songs that are both catchy and intense.

Last year, Klammer inked a deal with Revolver Records and signed with heavy metal’s imprint, Heavy Metal Records. And in 2022, the band released “Broken Dreams in a Crashing Car” on their new single and new album, The Day Before Yesterday. With this release, Steve explained to us: “There’s much more empty space in most of these songs than the previous album. We purposely left more empty space on the previous album so there wasn’t too much pressure on us in that sense. And then, of course, recording it in 3 days! The drums were recorded at Loom Studios’ in Leeds last Spring and all of the rest at Mead Studios. Definitely thinking, the pandemic has influenced it, and gave it an equally dark feel.”
