Bara Hari Explores Dark Side of ‘Violence Rising’ on New Single

Posted on 24/01/202324/01/2023 By Chris Relkneus

The second video and single from the forthcoming Bara Hari full-length, Lesser Gods, ‘Violence Rising’ documents the stories of someone who’s coming to terms with the reality that their morality can be just as biased as the views held by the opposition. Visually inspired by fairy tales and Renaissance art, ‘Violence Rising’ is a cinematic portrayal of an erudite being.

Look Into the future
What is it you see?
A life that’s full of riches
Or a cruel society?
Toughen up your skin
Sharpen up your teeth
Gather all your weapons
Cause it’s gonna get uglyOpen my eyes
Take one look inside and see that I’ve become the wolf
Comes out at night
The ugliness that I hide
Don’t make me much better than you
Violence is rising
No use in denying
The fault’s in our hands
Tearing the flesh from the lamb
Oh no
I don’t understandNow nothing is sacred
We’re fighting all the time
Victims of our own hand not a power that’s divine
Sharpen up your teeth
Harden up like stone
When you point the finger we will cut it to the boneOpen up my eyes
What have I become?
Open up my eyes
I’ve become the wolf (x2)
