Experimental ambient industrial The Miracle: Pillars and Tongues’ New Album

In 2009, Pillars and Tongues returned to Chicago from a lengthy tour. Upon reaching home, they recorded these two songs and meant them to follow-up their 2010 album, “Lay of Pilgrim Park.”

The typical set was comprised of two long songs.

The first, “Great / Most Secret” began with a brooding bassline and layers of feedback gradually building to an expansive crescendo of noise.

This song would typically last 15-20 minutes, with the atmosphere shifting from heavy doom to soft melodic passages.
