Will Arnett Will Play Sweet Tooth In the Live-Action Twisted Metal TV Series

Posted on 02/06/2022 By

Back in February, it was revealed that Peacock would be airing the live-action Twisted Metal series, based on the popular Playstation game franchise. Of course, everyone had the same question: who would play the game’s infamous evil clown Sweet Tooth? Now, we know…and it’s Gob fuckin’ Bluth?

Yup, according to Consequence of Sound, Arnett will executive-produce the show and will star as Sweet Tooth. One assumes, looking at Sweet Tooth, that he’ll get somewhat jacked for the role, but we’ll have to wait and see.

Right now, the series has been officially ordered, with Zombieland and Deadpool writing duo Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick at the helm.

Here’s the synopsis:

“Anthony Mackie stars as John Doe, a smart-ass milkman who talks as fast as he drives. With no memory of his past, John gets a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make his wish of finding community come true, but only if he can survive an onslaught of savage vehicular combat.

“Twisted Metal is a high-octane action comedy, based on an original take by Deadpool scribes Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick about a motor-mouthed outsider offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a trigger-happy car thief, he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck.”

Okay, but what we really wanna know is: how is Rob Zombie involved? Don’t fuck with us, Peacock, we were there when Twisted Metal III came out. That shit opens with “Meet the Creeper.” And now you’re doing The Munsters, too? C’mon, Peacock, we’re old-ass metalheads here. We want two things from this: some sick Mr. Grim action, and Rob mawfuckin’ Zombie.

More on the movie as we know it. For now, watch this video and marvel at how God-awful these graphics were. God, we thought they were some epic, game-changing shit back then.
