After a decade-long hiatus, Peter Gabriel is set to embark on a North American tour supporting his forthcoming new studio album, i/o. The tour, which kicks off in September, has now been expanded to include 13 additional shows, bringing the total to 25 performances across the US and Canada. Gabriel will be joined by longtime bandmates Tony Levin, David Rhodes, and Manu Katché on stage.
The new concerts are scheduled for Washington, D.C.; Buffalo, New York; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Columbus and Cleveland, Ohio; Detroit, Michigan; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; St. Paul, Minnesota; Palm Springs, California; Denver, Colorado; and Austin, Dallas, and Houston, Texas. Presale for these shows begins at noon local time today, March 21, with general on-sale tickets available at 10 a.m. local time on Friday, March 24. Visit petergabriel.com for full ticketing details.
Before crossing the Atlantic, Gabriel and his band will tour extensively throughout Europe. Starting on May 18 in Krakow, Poland, they will perform in cities such as Verona, Milan, Paris, Berlin, Copenhagen, Stockholm, and more before concluding in Dublin, Ireland, on June 25.
While there is no confirmed release date for i/o, Gabriel has already released several new songs from the album, including “Panopticom,” “The Court,” and “Playing for Time.” This marks his first album of new music since 2002’s Up.
The 2023 tour promises to be a treat for both new and longtime fans of Peter Gabriel. For more information on tour dates and ticket sales, visit the official website at petergabriel.com.
