Grindcore Legends Phobia Drop Surprise Single

Phobia

I had to check my inbox twice like Ol’ Saint Nick when I saw this one come through because I truly couldn’t believe that Phobia dropped something new, but here we are. The California grind band released a single titled “Death to Leaches.”

The song is out through Willowtip Records, and as of now, I’m not seeing a lot of hints as to wether a full-length is in the works, but that would be the assumption.

Frontman and vocalist Shane The Pain released the following statement concerning the vicious new track:

“It has been a while since we have released anything from Phobia. The past couple of years have brought new life experiences, and all the trials and tribulations that come along with them. This new single is definitely some kick ass and very sincere grind! Enjoy!”

Phobia got their start in 1990 with their initial demo, What Went Wrong, and have been active over the years with a few short breaks, making the prolific and longstanding even by grindcore standards. Their last full-length, Lifeless God, came out in 2017, and their last EP, Generation Coward, came out in 2019.

Hopefully, 2023 will see a lot more from Phobia than previous years have.
