Grab Yourself More Useless Plastic with These Stranger Things or Megadeth Funko Pops

Let’s face it — our modern lives are cluttered with a ton of useless bullshit that will just be a major burden to our loved ones when we finally shuffle from this mortal coil. So much of that useless bullshit is plastic that we as a species have plastic floating around in our systems. We’re part plastic.

So why not add to that infinite clutter and pick up some heavy metal inspired Funko Pops? Two recent announcements from the company that peddles big-headed, super deformed plastic tchotchkes revealed the release of Megadeth‘s Vic Rattlehead as a vinyl figurine and a diorama depicting that “Master of Puppets” moment from Stranger Things.

According to Funko, the Vic Rattlehead figuring is part of the Pop! Rocks line, which has featured all kinds of rock and metal icons including Rob Halford, Metallica, Pantera, and more. It’s a little wild that Vic is only now getting into the line, since other major mascots like Iron Maiden‘s Eddie and Motörhead‘s Warpig have been immortalized in oil-based synthetic polymers.

So far, it looks like Vic is a Hot Topic exclusive, so you’ll have to head to their website if you wanna preorder one for yourself. Right now, the price is just under $13 and is expected to ship between Feb. 14 and Feb. 25.

As for the Stranger Things diorama, it shows the moment where Eddie Munson (who could have played any number of other 80s metal songs…) and Dustin Henderson are trying to distract a swarm of demobats in the Upside-Down with the power of Metallica’s iconic track from 1986’s Master of Puppets.

Given the more intricate nature of the display, Funko currently has the piece listed at $70 and is unavailable at the moment without a release date listed. If you want to know when it comes back in stock, however, you can sign up to be notified.
