Allegaeon Announces the ‘Extraterrestrial Takeover Tour’ with The Zenith Passage

ALLEGAEON

The month of May’s got a lot of killer shows to choose from, but that’s not stopping tech/melodic death metal outfit Allegaeon from adding themself in the mix. For 11 dates that month, the band will be criss-crossing the American and Canadian west at various venues and even Vancouver’s Modified Ghost Festival.

Coming along for some of those dates will the The Zenith Passage, a technical death metal band from California. The tour will kick off in Denver, Colorado on May 13 until their final show on May 25 at Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Guitarist Greg Burgess said Allegaeon were excited to share a stage with The Zenith Passage, even if it’ll only be from May 15 to May 19.

“We’re excited to hit the road with our friends and new labelmates, The Zenith Passage. We had such a blast in Europe, but it’s always a little challenging building a shorter set. With these shows, we’ll have a little more time to dig deeper into our catalog in addition to our newer material.”

Just as they did with their European tour last year, the band will once again tap former vocalist Ezra Haynes to front the band, as they haven’t quite found a replacement for Riley McShane. This time around, Haynes said he was excited to return to this side of the pond.

“We’re nearing eight years since I last performed in the States or Canada. I couldn’t be more elated to get out there with the guys and put on a hell of a show for both legacy and new Allegaeon fans.”

Tickets are now on sale, so be sure to check out the dates below to see if Allegaeon’s hitting a venue near you.
