Death metal outfit Asinhell, which features Volbeat‘s Michael Poulsen, ex-Morgoth singer Marc Grewe, and Raunchy drummer Morten Toft Hansen, is set to make its live performance debut next summer as a part of Næstved Metalfest 2024.
Having released their debut album Impii Hora last month, the band has been relatively silent ever since. Yet earlier today, they were announced as one of 16 bands scheduled to take part in the Denmark metal festival.
Poulsen said having Asinhell hit the stage for the first time at this festival meant something special for him personally.
“The first time I found myself in the venue Musikstalden in Næstved, playing death metal was in 1991. 33 years later it is now time again to find the death metal axe and be part of Næstved Metalfest with my new band Asinhell. I look forward to be sharing horns and the love for metal with you all and my good old friend and festival organizer Michael Hvolgaard Andersen, with whom I did my very first interview at home from the boys’ room. See you out there and let the metal flow.”
Spread across three days and three stages, Næstved Metalfest 2024 will feature the following bands:
Tygers Of Pan Tang (UK)
Blazing Eternity (DK)
Michael Catton (DK)
Ring Of Gyges (IS)
While most festivals would offer a three-day pass to everyone, this festival does something different: only “early birds” gain access to that first day, where six bands including Tybers of Pan Tang, will play on Thursday, August 29, 2024. Once the early bird ticket period ends at 11:59 p.m. CEST on this Wednesday, November 1. Early bird tickets will be offered at a reduced price of DKK 999 (or about $142).
