Wargasm Got Nu-Metal Dad Fred Durst on Their P*ssed Off Single “Bang Ya Head”

British electronic nu-metal duo Wargasm are back with a new single off their upcoming album Venom and man, did they land one of the OGs for this one. Titled “Bang Ya Head,” this (admittedly hard as an oldhead to listen to) track features none other than Limp Bizkit frontman and dad-looking motherfucker Fred Durst.

According to the band’s guitarist/vocalist Sam Matlock, the song is about wealth inequality and the frustration that comes with being broke all the damn time. Relatable!

“When I was working in bars it always drove me insane how much it costs us to live, and how little money we make. The worlds going fucking crazy and everything’s getting so expensive – how the fuck are we meant to buy a life? It’s just this nightmare cycle until you get lucky. Like banging your head against a brick wall over and over and over – you bang your head until you break your fucking neck.

We took that energy and put it onto a guitar at our friend’s house in LA, then a microphone in a bathroom somewhere so the neighbors weren’t too pissed off, then we asked the one and only Fred Durst if he wanted to join in and he did – now we have this monstrosity. We’ve been waiting so damn long for you to hear this…”

Watching the video below, all I can think of is how fucking messed up that dude’s neck has to be at the end of shooting it. Man, I can’t imagine the aches… But maybe that’s just my almost 40 years old ass remembering how bad my neck hurt after the Pantera show earlier this summer…

Wargasm and Fred Durst are no strangers to one another. The duo has opened for Limp Bizkit in the past and it only makes sense, I guess, that they’d collaborate. The band’s newest album, Venom, is due out on October 27.

If you’d like to hear this and their previous single “Do It So Good” live, Wargasm is currently touring the states in support of Corey Taylor until October 7. Outside of that run, they’ll also be touring the U.K. and Europe until pretty much the end of the year, so you can check ’em out during one of those dates if you want.
