Next Year’s Philly Metal & Beer Fest Looks Absolutely F*cking Bonkers

When it comes to putting on a killer festival here in the states, the folks at Decibel just don’t miss. Like a battle vest wearing heavy metal sommelier, they’ve managed to put together ridiculously stacked lineups every year while pairing them with some of the country’s best craft beer breweries. And if today’s announcement for the 2024 edition of the Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest: Philly lineup is any indication, this year’s looking like yet another Bryce Harper-esque home run.

Returning for its seventh year, the festival will take place over two days on April 12 and 13, 2024 at the Fillmore Philly. Throughout those two days, some old school metal bands will throw down among today’s up-and-comers, giving old heads and newbloods something to mosh to.

Case and point are the special sets planned for the first night’s headlining act Biohazard, who will perform their 1992 classic Urban Discipline in its entirety. Similarly, night two’s headliner Deicide will play a special set comprised of nothing but bangers from their ’90s classic albums Deicide, Legion, and Once Upon the Cross.

Not to be outdone, Dying Fetus will play nothing but old shit for their set and Crowbar will play songs exclusively from their 1993 self-titled album and the ridiculously heavy Odd Fellows Rest.

Rounding out the festival’s lineup will be a veritable rogues’ gallery of today’s hottest and explosive acts around, including:

  • Jesus Piece
  • Tomb Mold
  • Internal Bleeding
  • 200 Stab Wounds
  • Will Haven
  • Enforced
  • Lamp of Murmuur
  • Terminal Nation
  • Daeva
  • Witching

As for the beer side of things, the festival will feature libations from an impressive lineup of craft breweries from around the country. Featured beers will be available from: WarPigs Brewing (IN), TRVE Brewing (CO), Kings County Brewers Collective (NY), Black Sky Brewery (CO), Yards Brewing (PA), Magnanimous Brewing (FL), Ever Grain Brewing Co (PA), XUL Beer Company (TN), Adroit Theory Brewing (VA), New Trail Brewing Co (PA), Holy Mountain Brewing Co (WA), Imprint Beer Co (PA), Widowmaker Brewing (MA), Attic Brewing Co (PA), Bear Cult Brewing (DE) and Brimming Horn Meadery (DE). Hailing from across the Ben Franklin, New Jersey’s own Tonewood Brewing will also be on hand.

If all that sounds like a crazy good time, then you should set a timer and make sure you’re online this Friday at 10 a.m. EST to get your tickets. Special pre-sales by 3 Floyds and Century Media are currently ongoing, so if you can’t wait, you can get yours by using codes ZOMBIEDUST or CENTURYMEDIA at the event’s Ticketmaster page. After all, this is something you won’t want to miss.
