MUTANT BLAST: "Detonation" EP - Gothic Radio Station

“Mutant Blast is a metallic death ‘n’ roll band from Finland. They strive to create a harsh and distinctive sound combining old school tones with a modern approach. The influences of Mutant Blast range from classic heavy metal to extreme metal.

Mutant Blast found its final form in August 2020, when lead vocalist and guitarist Tomi Malinen joined the group consisting of guitarist Toni Huhtiniemi, bassist Juha Lähde and drummer E-S Kuikka. Before that the last-mentioned trio had worked on new material more or less sporadically for a good while.

With a completed line-up Mutant Blast started to rehearse intensively, and in February 2021 they entered the studio in order to record their debut release. The studio session resulted in an EP, which is to be released in Fall 2021. Mutant Blast released its first single “Blades of Steel” in April 2021 as a foretaste of what is to come.”
