Borrowing their moniker from the legendary bastion of the counterculture movement, Timothy Leary, the auditory artistry of Florida’s Timothy Eerie is akin to ingesting a couple of psychedelic tabs and tumbling headlong into Wonderland. It’s where the celestial dances with the corporeal – swirling, mystic melodies that are interwoven with resonant tones and raw rock’n’roll clamor. The fuzzy tang of their acid rock transports us back to the late 80s Manchester sound, echoing the sonic hues of the Stone Roses and Happy Mondays, yet retaining the raw, untamed edge of the late-60s garage anthems found within the storied Nuggets compilation.
Their frenzied offering, “Your Own Trip,” out via Green Witch Recordings, oscillates and throbs its way through a sonic labyrinth of jousting guitars, rampant percussions, and ethereal vocal echoes. It drags us by the ears into the wild expanses of our imagination, a whimsical world that’s as untamed as unexpected.
Casey Lerman says “This is the last song I wrote for the new album,” muses frontman Casey Lerman. “It’s about following your own sense of intuition and not being influenced by external forces. “

Timothy Eerie has intertwined their notes with the melodious charm of renowned bands such as La Luz, the otherworldly vibe of Dead Meadow, the enigmatic allure of L.A. Witch, and the ethereal enchantment of Kikagaku Moyo. Their harmonic journey has led them to share space with the profound resonance of Slift, the vibrant soundscape of Of Montreal, the psychedelic air of Acid Mothers Temple, and the electric pulse of Jaccuzi Boys…not to mention their musical camaraderie with Spaceface, Holy Wave, and their label companions Pearl Earl.
“Your Own Trip” is borne from their newest creation, “Work Free Drug Place.” The anticipation hums through the air, as the album is set to land in our ears this autumn, courtesy of Green Witch Recordings.
