Ice Nine Kills Guitarist Dan Sugarman Beat Thyroid Cancer: “100% Healthy and C-Free!”

Some awesome fucking news recently came out of the Ice Nine Kills camp, as guitarist Dan Sugarman recently announced that he is cancer-free. The dude has been stuck at home battling thyroid cancer while his bandmates are out on tour, but a new email update to his Patreon subscribers revealed that a recent procedure he had done removed the cancer from his body while he was explaining why merch wasn’t moving as fast as some would have liked.
“When a mistake is made, its often times so easy to let the blame fall on anyone else but yourself… I have something to admit. I made some mistakes, and its time to make this right!
“With all of the orders that came through in support of my Thyroid Cancer discovery & recovery a few months ago, we didn’t have the personnel required to handle such volumes of orders! Update: don’t worry, I had surgery and am 100% healthy and c-free!”
Imagine being a cancer patient and having to handle a large volume of orders with limited resources. Talk about a fucking pain in the ass. Still, he’s apparently on the mend and we at MetalSucks are super stoked for his recovery.
In the meantime, Ice Nine Kills has been playing huge shows around the world with the likes of Metallica and other major acts. Filling in for Sugarman has been Bad Wolves/God Forbid guitarist Doc Coyle, with Miles Dimitri Baker, of Interloper and Voidbringer.
