It may not seem like it while they’re killing it on stage, but our favorite artists aren’t larger than life behemoths that exist solely to help us degrade our necks over time with the constant headbanging. It turns out, they’re normal people too. And one of the coolest things we get to do here at MetalSucks is hopefully give you a front row glimpse into the minds of your favorite artists.
During a recent stint in Europe, we caught up with Unearth‘s Trevor Phipps and got to ask him a number of questions, ranging from the mild to the wild and everything in between. The dude’s super down to Earth in this rapid fire Q&A session as he describes Unearth’s worst show ever (it got bloody), his favorite food to eat while on the road, and what music he and his bandmates have been listening to lately.
A word of warning on this video though, we experimented shooting in 4K and the god damn lens kept wigging out on us. It’s less than ideal, but we think we got it nailed down for the next one.
