Fans of melodic metal and power metal will want to get their travel arrangements in order before next April, as the fifth edition of the Hyperspace Metal Festival is once again taking over a couple venues in the gorgeous city of Vancouver.
Set to take place from April 11 to 13 at both the Wise Hall and the Rickshaw Theatre, the festival will feature 15 bands performing over the course of three nights, with Týr and Flotsam and Jetsam both getting top billing.
Festival organizer Joey Hockin, of Journeyman Productions, said the newly announced lineup featured the type of acts that embody exactly what Hyperspace Metal Fest is all about.
“Here we go with another Hyperspace Metal Festival, and this is the biggest one yet! I feel like this is a dream lineup for us, one that we’ve been working towards since the inception of the festival! Unfortunately, Transgressive has had to drop out of the lineup. We hope to have them in 2025! We couldn’t have come nearly this far without the incredible support we’ve received from the power metal community. So, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN! See you in April!”
According to officials, the bands scheduled to take the stage during the festival will do so in the following order at the appropriate venues:
Thursday, April 11th (The Wise Hall)
Skelator
Tylor Dory Trio
Syryn
Naitaka
Sleeper Ship
Friday, April 12th (Rickshaw Theatre)
Tyr
Trollfest
Aether Realm
The Dread Crew Of Oddwood
Balrogath
Saturday, April 13th (Rickshaw Theatre)
Flotsam and Jetsam
Iron Kingdom
Borealis
Osyron
Odinfist
Tickets for the festival will run about $90 for the three day pass. If you’re just interested in the Thursday show, doors will open at 6 p.m. local time and tickets will be $30. Anyone looking to get into the Friday or Saturday show will have to pony up $40 with doors opening at 7 p.m.
