Mudvayne announced a series of tour dates around their appearances at the Welcome to Rockville Festival in Daytona Beach, Florida and the Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival in Columbus, OH. The dates between the festivals have openers such as P.O.D., Hyro the Hero, A Killer’s Confession, and Zero 9:36. Check out the dates below:
5/9 Daytona Beach, FL – Welcome To Rockville
5/11 Grantville, PA – Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course (w/ Zero 9:36, Hyro The Hero & A Killer’s Confession)
5/15 Milwaukee, WI – The Rave (w/ P.O.D., Hyro The Hero & A Killer’s Confession)
5/16 Columbus, OH – Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival
5/18 Mashantucket, CT – Foxwoods Resort Casino (w/ P.O.D., Hyro The Hero & A Killer’s Confession)
While, admittedly, geography is not my strong suit, I feel like there was a better way to book that tour that looked more like a straight line. But, while the tour dates seem to be in random cities that aren’t even necessarily close to each other, there’s actually a method to Mudvayne’s madness. I plotted out all of the dates for this tour—along with Mudvayne’s home city of Peoria, IL on a map—and it made a pentagram!
Okay, I’m just kidding, they don’t make a pentagram. That would have been the most metal thing ever if a band booked a tour that was shaped like a pentagram and they just never pointed it out to anyone. Mudvayne may be pretty cool, but I don’t know if they’re cool enough to pull that off.
If you want to check out Mudvayne on tour, tickets are on sale on the band’s official website.
