Ex-Mötley Crüe Singer John Corabi Explains Why Nikki Sixx Is “So Butthurt With [Him] Right Now”

Posted on 09/06/2022 By

Is “butthurt” an offensive term? I truly do not know. I assume it just means someone has, like, a chapped ass about something, but I feel like I recently used it and someone got upset, and told me they perceived it as homophobic. Anyway, former Mötley Crüe singer John Corabi thinks Nikki Sixx is “butthurt” about him because he said he thought parts of his book The Dirt were made up.

Speaking to The SDRShow, Corabi explained that he did an interview where he claimed The Dirt falsely portrayed him as a hard drug user (as transcribed by Ultimate Guitar):

“It’s funny — and I think this is part of the reason why Nikki is so butthurt with me right now, for the last 10 years or so. But I wasn’t taking a slag out of the book. I was like, ‘Hey, it’s a good read!’ You know what I mean? …And to be honest with you, I’ve never done — people laugh, but I’ve never done cocaine, meth, heroin, like none of that shit. So when the guy asked me — I don’t know if the guy was baiting me or what the deal was – he asked me a question. And I said, ‘Well, parts of the dirt were colored,’ right? Absolutely colored. And I said, ‘So I would imagine…’

“I didn’t mean it to be a dig — and he took offense to it. And — I sent him an e-mail back, because we had this little beef via e-mail. And he sent me this thing, and he’s like, ‘I don’t appreciate you fucking slag in my book and blah, blah, blah.’ And, I just told him, ‘Did you read the whole interview?’ That’s all. And then the second thing I said was, ‘Why do you give a fuck about anything I have to say?’”

Having not read The Dirt, I can neither confirm or deny that Sixx depicted Corabi as a hard drug fan. Then again, we don’t know why Corabi would lie about NOT doing drugs, given that as a one-time singer for Mötley Crüe, this would honestly increase his street cred.

Anyway, check out the full interview below, and let us know if you’ve ever seen Corabi smoking crank out of a lightbulb or something like that. Otherwise, we’ll take his word for it.
