Dieth’s “Walk With Me Forever” Has David Ellefson’s Debut Lead Vocal Performance

As a member of Megadeth for roughly three decades, David Ellefson handled backup vocals along with his main post of playing bass. Now as a member of Dieth, he’s getting a chance to stand out in the mix as he gets his debut lead vocals track with the band’s latest single, “Walk With Me Forever.”

Featured on their debut album To Hell And Back, the death thrash band dropped this new ballad that the band says had a very special meaning this week, given the fact that Memorial Day was yesterday. Ellefson said the song was meant to reflect the deep sense of loss one feels when losing a loved one and having to push forward through life, which is a feeling that’s far too relatable.

“We’ve all experienced loss and grief at some point in our life, and this song expresses that feeling as well as the gratitude we find when accepting, letting go and carrying the beauty of that person’s life with us as we move on.”

You can check out the full track and accompanying music video for “Walk With Me Forever” below. After giving it a listen, it’s apparent that Ellefson can carry a tune, which is something you can’t really say for a lot of guys in bands.

Dieth’s debut album To Hell And Back will release this Friday, June 2 via Napalm Records, though you can preorder your copy today.
