Death Cab For Cutie announce new album ‘Asphalt Meadows,’ drop “Roman Candles”—watch
Death Cab For Cutie have announced their 10th studio album, Asphalt Meadows. The group also released lead single “Roman Candles.”
In a press release, vocalist Ben Gibbard shared that its lyrics come from several different songs. The band also spoke about the inspiration behind the track.

“‘Roman Candles’ is about the crippling, existential dread that goes hand in hand with living in a nervous city on a dying planet,” they say. “And that the only way to be in the moment is to let it all go.”
Along with the album announcement, Death Cab For Cutie also will also embark on a U.S. headline tour in the fall.
