Cynic Add Southern U.S. Dates to Their ReFocus/Remembrance Tour

Progressive metal fans across North America had a hell of a time all throughout June and July, as Cynic and Atheist co-headlined and toured together on the Focus and Presence Tour. It was an opportunity to see the two acts commemorate some seriously special moments in their discography, with Cynic performing the entirety of Focus for its 30th anniversary.

It was an unexpected opportunity for anyone that could make it out. Yet for fans in the southern part of the U.S., they felt like they’d been let down by the band that got its start in that region, as the tour didn’t really reach their neck of the woods.

But fret not, people. Cynic announced earlier today that they’re heading back out on the road for the “ReFocus/Remembrance” tour. Just as they’d done in the previous tour, Cynic plan on playing all of Focus in a bid to commemorate the album’s 30th anniversary, as well as pay tribute to the late Sean Reinert and bassist Sean Malone.

Tickets for the five scheduled shows, which will start in Miami, Florida on September 1 and ends in Tampa, Florida on September 8. It’s not a very long tour, so if you have the opportunity to check out one of the dates listed below, you should probably make sure you get a ticket.

Dates
09/01 Miami, FL @ Gramps [Tickets]09/02 Orlando, FL @ Conduit [Tickets]09/05 New Orleans, LA @ Southport Hall [Tickets]09/06 Atlanta, GA @ Prog Power [Tickets]09/08 Tampa, FL @ The Orpheum   [Tickets]
