Anthrax Aren’t Touring at the Moment, But Joey Belladonna’s Journey Cover Band Is

They may have new material in the works, but it might be a while before classic thrash outfit Anthrax goes out on tour again. Not only have band members like Charlie Benante and Scott Ian been busy with their roles in Pantera and Mr. Bungle, respectively, but it now seems like vocalist Joey Belladonna‘s striking it out on the road for himself.
More specifically, Belladonna and his Journey cover band Beyond Frontiers will be touring the U.S later this month.
Starting on August 22 in San Diego and coming to an end on November 19 in Cocoa Beach, Florida, the band is likely going to run through some classic Journey tunes like “Don’t Stop Believing” and the best Journey song ever written “Separate Ways.”
Belladonna’s had this band as a side gig for a while now and it makes sense. Even though I think John Bush would have been more suited for Worship Music and everything moving forward at least from a vocal standpoint, there’s no denying that Joey’s got pipes.
So yeah. If you’re a diehard Joey Belladonna fan, this tour should hold you over until Anthrax gets back out there.
