Aerosmith’s Rescheduled Farewell Tour Dates Announced

If you were one of the unfortunate few that’s been holding on to $400 barstool tickets for Aerosmith‘s farewell tour, then good news — you now know when you’ll be able to finally see that show. Earlier today, the iconic rock band posted the list of rescheduled dates that had been originally postponed due to a fractured larynx sustained by singer Steven Tyler.
The original farewell tour was supposed to take place last May, but after only three shows they had to postpone the rest of the run due to Tyler’s injury. At the time, the vocalist said he was “heartbroken to not be out there with Aerosmith, my brothers, and the incredible Black Crowes, rocking with the best fans in the world.”
During the band’s unexpected downtime, Tyler was hit with a pair of lawsuits involving alleged incidents involving the sexual assault of a model and a 16-year-old girl during the 1970s. In the case involving the model, a New York judge dismissed the claim because it didn’t meet the criteria for New York’s Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act. The second lawsuit is still ongoing but a Los Angeles judge has ruled that emotional distress claims linked to two of Tyler’s books were no longer valid because the statute of limitations had expired. He’s still facing charges involving sexual assault and sexual battery.
If none of that bothers you, then I guess you’ll be happy to know that this new run of dates will start on September 20 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and will come to an end in Buffalo, New York on February 26. Just as they were supposed to do last year, Aerosmith will go on this run with The Black Crowes.
