Interscope Records have announced a new subscription service, the Interscope Vinyl Collective, which will offer exclusive pressings of records we know and love.
Those who take advantage can choose from four subscription tiers that bill either monthly, every three months, every six months, or annually depending on the package.
To kick things off, the label will be dropping a limited-edition pressing of The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails this April, to celebrate the band’s 30th anniversary. The drop will feature a gatefold jacket, printed sleeves, 180G black vinyl, a limited-edition lithograph insert, and a 12-page vinyl booklet.
In June, the Interscope Vinyl Collective will be please Helmet fans with an exclusive pressing of their 1994 alternative metal album Betty.
For Nine Inch Nails fans, this new is probably welcome, as we know we won’t be getting new music from them any time soon. Last year, in an interview on the Tetragrammaton With Rick Rubin podcast, Trent Reznor explained their wouldn’t be new music for a while:
“I don’t really want to do anything right now. I want to feel okay and I want to make sure my family’s okay. And that’s okay.
“I don’t want to be away from my kids, not that much. I don’t want to miss their lives out to go and do a thing I am grateful to be able to do and I’m appreciative that you’re here to see it, but I’ve done it a lot.”
Regardless of this lag, it look like fans will still have something new to get excited about in the coming months. To learn more about the program or sign up, visit the website to get more info.
