Twin Temples Bring More Satanic Doo-Wop with “Burn Your Bible,” New Album God Is Dead Coming October

The Venn diagram of old school crooning and the devil definitely has some overlap. For the longest time, Danzig was among the few that sat at that intersection, bringing dark verses with his dulcet tones, but lately a doo-wop duo by the name of Twin Temples has taken the mantle. And while their music is more faithful to the sound of the 40s and 50s, their message is infernal and modern, as they intend on releasing their sophomore album God Is Dead on Friday, October 13.

To commemorate the announcement of a new album, the pair released the album’s first single, titled “Burn Your Bible.” According to the band, the track was chosen as their introduction to their upcoming release since it represents their “allegiance to Satan and the golden oldies.”

“Despite relentless death threats and moralizing, our allegiance to Satan and the golden oldies remains unwavering. ‘God Is Dead’ is our most blasphemous, horny and painstakingly period-correct work to date. Saturated with the blood of babies, and forged in the ashes of burning churches, we spared no one in the making of this album. See you in Hell!”

Though this sort of thing may seem strange for a metal blog to cover, it’s important to note that they’ve had some bonafide experience touring with some big acts, including Ghost and Volbeat serving as their tourmates. Starting later this month, the pair will hit the road with Danzig, Behemoth, and Midnight (though the lineup may change night to night). You can check out the dates for that tour down below.
