Till Lindemann Starred in a German Online Poker Commercial and It’s Predictably Batsh*t

Rammstein frontman and big boob enthusiast Till Lindemann loves playing characters. Seriously, watch any music video he’s in, from “Keine Lust” to “Ich hasse kinder” from his solo project and you’ll see a man that loves being in front of the camera. And I imagine it’s that love of playing different characters that landed him the role in a batshit crazy online poker commercial that’s airing in Germany.
Created for German online poker site GGPoker, the commercial below features Lindemann playing multiple characters at once, each with their own unique style and apparent backstory as to why they’re involved in the high stakes game. And while it’s all in German, YouTube’s got that taken care of with translated subtitles.
GGPoker’s copy under the video suggests each of those characters are actually a part of Lindemann’s strategic thinking, each representing a different strategy.
“Poker requires not only luck, but also strategy, skill and smart decisions at the right moment.
“Good players gain experience and develop their skills instead of being guided by emotions. Till Lindemann slipped into different roles and found his perfect strategy.”
Honestly, all of the dialogue sounds like high art, pretentious bullshit, which is right in Lindemann’s wheelhouse if we’re being honest. Still, I would be lying if this four-minute advertisement for a poker site didn’t make me wish this was a full-length movie. There’s just something about Lindemann’s characters and the way everything’s shot that screams “watch me.”
