The Red Chord Have Two Special Shows Lined Up While Their Debut Album Gets a Vinyl Reissue

Bostonian deathcore band The Red Chord dropped some exciting news earlier today, as they not only have a couple special shows planned for later this year, but there’s going to be a new…. vinyl reissue of their debut album.
Sorry if I got your hopes up for new tunes, that’s going to have to wait. But getting a vinyl reissue of 2002’s Fused Together In Revolving Doors is still pretty fucking cool. As you can see in the picture below, the album will have a reimagining of the album’s original artwork by Mike Wohlburg.
The reissue marks the revival of Black Market Activities, the label originally founded 21 years ago by The Red Chord frontman Guy Kozowyk. That’s a big deal, since the label helped launch bands like Fit For An Autopsy back in the day.
And while the reissue will be available to everyone, Kozowyk told Metal Injection that there won’t be a pre-order and that fans can keep up with the LP’s release via social media.
“We are not running a pre-order. We are trying to keep vinyl pricing reasonable. We will give plenty of advanced notice through our social media pages when the LPs are back from the pressing plant and physically available for purchase. We are however making a limited Widowmaker vinyl variant. These LPs will be limited to 150 sellable copies, and will only be available in a ticket combo package that must be picked up in person at the shows.”
As mentioned, the band have two official release shows planned on June 1 and 2 at Widowmaker Brewing in Braintree, Massachusetts. Tickets are available right now, with supporting acts varying each night.
6/1 – Widowmaker Brewing – Braintree, MA (w/ Deadguy, Intercourse & Body Stuff)
6/2 – Widowmaker Brewing – Braintree, MA (w/ Through The Eyes Of The Dead, From A Second Story Window & Stagnater)
This amount of activity from The Red Chord after being away for so long is exciting news. Given the fact that new music is in the works, it’s going to be fuckin’ awesome to hear what they sound like — especially since their last full length release was Fed Through The Teeth Machine back in 2009.
