Long Island hardcore band Atomic Life features some heavy hitters in its lineup and before you even ask, — yes, there’s some music to check out. Their first single is “Hit Me First” and you can check it out below.
Atomic Life consists of Billy Rymer, who has played with The Dillinger Escape Plan, Ho9909, and Thoughtcrimes on drums; guitarist Cody Hosza of Glassjaw; Miachael Sadis, formerly of NK and the Rivalry on bass; and vocalist Adea Frances. As you can image, this lineup is fire, with the band saying the following about their first single.
“’Hit Me First’ blisters in fury at every twist and turn, kicking down doors and putting their stamp on the indie rock scene. Lead singer Adea Francis provides frantic vocals with memorable hooks and lyrics, describing the song as her “deepest wish that straddles the thin line between forbidden desires and sinister intentions.”
It’s clear from this track that the band’s supergroup status informs their sound. Hopefully, it’s only the tip of the iceberg and there will be more music and shoes coming soon.
If you’re lucky enough to be in the New York City area, Atomic Life will be playing their debut show on March 30 at Heaven Can Wait with Bang Gramblers, Beat Radio, and I Love You, I’m Sorry. Come on out to the show if you want to catch history in the making. You can get tickets now.
Stay tuned for more announcements from the new band this year as their imprint on the world of music continues to develop.
