New Cannibal Corpse Track “Summoned For Sacrifice” Coming Wednesday

Now, I dunno about you, but ever since Florida death metal icons Cannibal Corpse announced the upcoming release of their 16th studio effort Chaos Horrific, I’ve been chomping at the bit for even just a sliver of new music. Sure, we got an absolute ripper with the first single “Blood Blind,” but after a recent tweet from the folks at Metal Blade, I now know there’s just two sleeps before I can cram “Summoned For Sacrifice” into my skull.

Earlier today, a 13 second snippet was made available on the record label’s Twitter (I refuse to call it X) page along with an announcement that the new track and accompanying music video will be available at 9 a.m. PT/12 p.m. EST this Wednesday, August 9. From what’s available in the clip, this one should be every bit as heavy and menacing as the first single.

As for the video, we don’t know much other than it’s going up at the same time as the single. Though there’s a YouTube listing for the video, it’s set to premiere in 45 hours at the time of this post. Directed by David Brodsky, of My Good Eye, this is sure to be a killer affair. Now all that’s left to do is wait and see.

Chaos Horrific is set to come out on September 22 via Metal Blade Records, but you can preorder your own copy today. You can also grab yourself some tickets for the band’s upcoming U.S. tour below.
