Metallica Posts a Behind the Scenes Look at the “Screaming Suicide” Video

Last month, Metallica dropped the second single for their upcoming album 72 Seasons with the release of “Screaming Suicide.” It was the follow up to “Lux Aeterna” and was a nearly six-minute thrashy/punky tune that was pretty alright. Yep, it was pretty good.
Well if you remember its release, then you probably remember the accompanying music video that dropped with it. Well today, a little over a month after the fact, Metallica is giving its fans a glimpse into what went into the making of the video. And while it’s not too different from other behind the scenes clips, it made me realize some things:
- These guys are getting old
- It’s gotta be hard taking direction from a dude that probably wasn’t alive when the Black Album dropped
- Lars’ drum sound at 2:46 is still better than St. Anger
- Telling Rob Trujillo to not move around too much while playing bass is an affront to god
- James and Lars have hair situations that show just how old they are: the former is all gray and the latter wears hats to hide his hideous skullet
