Maryland Deathfest Lineup Gets Cryptopsy, Gorguts, Abbath, and More

It’s been a minute since we last checked in with next year’s return of the Maryland Deathfest, after organizers opted to sit this year out due to continuing COVID concerns that’ll probably continue to plague us long after we all die. When we last shared news of the (usually) annual festival, we shared the first wave of bands added to the bill, including Grave, Bloodbath, and Primordial.

Well, that was back in January and since then we’ve gotten not one, but two announcements that are chock full of killer bands that should be sure to make the 2024 edition of the festival an absolute banger from the start. Of particular note is the inclusion of Cryptopsy, who will be performing the entirety of Blasphemy Made Flesh to celebrate the album’s 30th anniversary.

As previously reported, a majority of the international bands making their way overseas for next year’s festival will be doing so on an exclusive basis.

The majority of the foreign bands confirmed thus far will be making an exclusive US appearance at MDF 2024. There are a few foreign bands that will also play several additional MDF-affiliated shows in the week following MDF, so be on the lookout for more info about that in the coming months.

The 2024 edition of Maryland Deathfest will take place throughout multiple venues in Baltimore, Maryland, including the Power Plant, Rams Head Live!, Soundstage and Market Place from May 23 to May 26.

So without further ado, here is the last two batches of bands set to perform today:
