Lamb of God Announce New Album, Massive Headlining Tour with Killswitch Engage

Posted on 07/06/2022 By

Last we heard about the new album from Virginia groove metallers Lamb of God was when Ice T said they were in the studio back in February. Now, the band have revealed details of their new album — as well as a massive U.S. tour with Killswitch Engage, along with a laundry list of other openers.

Lamb of God’s ninth studio album will be titled Omens, and drops October 7th via Epic Records. The first single, “Nevermore,” drops this Friday, June 10th. The album is available for preorder.

That’s also when tickets to the band’s headlining tour officially go on sale. Along with Killswitch Engage, select dates of the tour will include Baroness, Suicide Silence, Motionless In White, Spiritbox, Fit For An Autopsy, and Animals As Leaders as openers. Tickets go onsale at 10am local time via Lamb of God’s website, though Citi cardmembers have an opportunity for an exclusive presale starting Tuesday, June 7th, full details of which can be found online.

Says guitarist Mark Morton:

“Two decades ago, Lamb of God, along with Killswitch Engage, were a part of a new wave of American heavy metal music. Our scene grew from a small, loosely connected network of underground shows in basements and warehouses, into a global phenomenon that helped define an entire generation of modern heavy metal. We are thrilled to announce The Omens Tour, which celebrates not only the perseverance and impact of that original movement, but also the creativity and originality of the bands that it influenced. Heavy metal is alive and well. The Omens Tour proudly showcases the depth and diversity of our scene. This is not a tour to miss.”
