Lamb of God and Mastodon Might Be Teasing a Killer Ashes of the Wake/Leviathan Tour

Don’t look now, but it seems like Lamb of God and Mastodon are teasing what might be a joint celebration of two of their more influential records, as Ashes of the Wake and Leviathan each hit their 20th anniversary.
As it turns out, both albums were released on what might be one of the best days of metal in the early 2000s — August 31, 2004. Both bands have shared the same stage over the years numerous times, so it’s not too much of a stretch that when both bands start sharing the same clip on social media with the hashtag “#AshesOfLeviathan,” it’s pretty obvious what we’re all supposed to think is coming next.
There’s not much more to really go on at this point, but let’s be real… what else could this possibly be? It’s too perfect, given the fact that both albums share a release date. Not to mention Lamb of God definitely has practice running through Ashes Of The Wake in its entirety, since they most recently did that on their Headbanger’s Boat cruise. Oh and look who else was on the bill: Mastodon!
Co-inky-dink? I think not.
