Long-running British post-punk band Killing Joke is set to perform its first two albums in concert on Sunday night at London’s Royal Albert Hall. Ahead of the highly anticipated show, the band has released a new single called “Full Spectrum Dominance.” You can listen to the song and a remix by bassist Youth below.
The new single, which is available digitally, follows last year’s four-song EP Lord of Chaos. Killing Joke’s original lineup, consisting of Jaz Coleman, Paul Ferguson, Geordie Walker, and Youth, have been back together since the release of their 2010 album Absolute Dissent.
“Full Spectrum Dominance” is booming, psychedelic, and melodic, and it showcases the band’s signature sound with heavy guitar riffs and driving percussion. The remix by Youth adds a new dimension to the track, creating a full-on trance electronic and industrial-techno feel.
In addition to the London concert, Killing Joke is scheduled to perform at the Sick New World Festival in May.
Killing Joke’s last full-length album, Pylon, was released in 2015. With the release of “Full Spectrum Dominance,” fans eagerly anticipate news of a new album or further releases from the legendary post-punk group.
