A cavalcade of cannabis-friendly and adjacent acts will be bringing the fuzz to two major American cities this November, as the inaugural Heavy Psych Sounds Fest gears up to bring a dozen bands to two separate venues.

Taking place on November 10 and 11 at the Saint Vitus Bar in Brooklyn and Baltimore’s Metro Gallery, Heavy Psych Fest will be a special concert event only available to anyone 21 and older. As of this writing, ten of the 12 bands expected to participate in the fest have been announced. They are:

  • Bongzilla
  • The Atomic Bitchwax
  • High Reeper
  • The Golden Grass
  • Geezer
  • Black Lung
  • Witchpit
  • Cosmic Reaper
  • Gozu
  • Luger

With today’s announcement, Heavy Psych Sounds’ Rajko Dolhar said he was excited to be able to bring some of the label’s best acts to the east coast, after managing to hold a similar event out on the other side of the country.

“We are stoked to organize one of our HPS Fests on the US East Coast for the ddvery first time! After conquering the West Coast in March, we are ready to rock the East Coast too!”

As you can probably tell from our past coverage, we’re big fans of THC and metal, so when you combine the two and bring up stoner metal, there’s a good chance we’ll give whatever band you’re highlighting a shot. So if you’re going to offer a full day of nothing but fuzzy rock and metal filtered through Heavy Psych Sounds’ lineup, it’s pretty easy for us to recommend you attend this.

We’re also really stoked to see Bongzila heading over into our neck of the woods, given how cool their latest single is.

Tickets are on sale right now.
