The modern classical arrangements of John Fair (co-founder of Lycia) combined with the voice and words of poet Youssef Alaoui add up to a result greater than their sum as Harlots and Beggars, using sampled orchestral instruments and percussion, their music evokes images of lost cities, dying kings, and empty landscapes clamoring for nostalgia. In keeping with their love of lush atmospheres and classical inspiration, their debut effort is an EP called Ghost of Titian.
