Hammerhedd Go Animated with Their Music Video for “Nonetheless”

You may have stumbled across these guys on your TikTok or YouTube feeds, but Kansas City’s Hammerhedd are fucking legit. Having been playing metal music since they were kids, this trio of brothers released their second studio album Nonetheless today. As a result, they put out a visually interesting music video for the title track.

It’s wild to think these guys have been playing together since before any of them hit 10 years old. Since then, they’ve grown a local following that ultimately got them recognized online. Just last year, they managed to hit the road with In Flames, which is pretty fucking impressive.

So far with this album cycle, the band has put out three other singles, “Pioneer To Be,” “Tunnel,” and “Fruition” — all three of which we’ll share below since these guys definitely deserve some more attention. If you like Sepultura, Meshuggah, and Gojira, you’re going to dig the hell out of Hammerhedd thanks to Henry Ismert’s vocals and guitar playing while Abe and Eli Ismert’s rhythm section holding things down.

As of right now, the band’s only got two live dates on the schedule. You can catch them at the following shows:

  • April 1 – Tulsa, OK @ Cain’s Ballroom W/ Night Demon
  • May 20 – Daytona, FL @ Welcome To Rockville

You can pick up Nonetheless today or stream it on your favorite music platform.
