Ghost’s Latest Lore Dump Reveals a Whole Lot of Nothing, Hints at an Easter Reveal

Earlier today, Ghost fans waited around on YouTube for the premiere of the 17th chapter in Ghost’s long running series of lore/promotional videos. As you can see in the video posted below, there’s some fumbling with a juice box, there’s some chit-chat with Papa Nihil’s specter, and there’s a cheeky reference to “that Jesus stuff” and that’s it.
It turns out that the video wasn’t intended on announcing anything at all. No new EP, no new tour dates, nothing. It was just an announcement for an announcement, since the band now has a new video scheduled to drop this Sunday, April 9 at 8:30 a.m. titled “Jesus Talk with Father Jim DeFroque.” It should be noted that this Sunday is Easter, a hugely important Christian holiday.
As for what we do know, Ghost is gearing up for a tour next month in Europe before eventually coming back to the U.S. in August. Tobias Forge has said in the past that the band should have new music out by the time they hit the road, so that only lends more credence to the idea that Sunday’s reveal will be a new EP of some sort.
So yeah. I guess stay tuned for this Sunday. We might actually learn something this time.
