Wild Beyond (ex-Woe, ex-Woods of Ypres) Are “Sculpting the Abyss” On Their Latest Song

Hailing from Philadelphia, blackened-thrash newcomers Wild Beyond have an established pedigree. Featuring current and former members of Woe, Woods of Ypres, The Crippler, Daeva, Necrosexual, et al., Wild Beyond’s music is as epic as it is gritty and thrilling.

Today, we’re stoked to premiere “Sculpting the Abyss,” the crew’s latest single from their forthcoming debut, simply titled Wild Beyond. If you’re familiar with any of the members’ other projects, particularly Daeva, you’ll recognize similarities but Wild Beyond are their own animal entirely. “Sculpting the Abyss” is built on the back of galloping riff, offering menacing melodies and faster-than-the-devil guitar playing as the backdrop for vocalist/guitarist Edward Gonet’s acidic vocal delivery.

Of the track, Wild Beyond offered:

“‘Sculpting The Abyss’ drags us far beyond the origins of sulfur. This is probably our most death metal influence on the new record. It slithers into form like an otherworldy serpent and later pummels the listener with piss and vinegar. It’s really fun to play live as well. We look forward to pulverize audiences with this number in the near future.
