Vomit Forth Unveil New Album Terrified of God and Release Lead Single “Rotting Wool”

American death metal stalwarts Vomit Forth announced earlier today that they’re coming back to ruin your October with the release of their forthcoming album Terrified of God. Due out on October 11 through Century Media, the new release will have 12 new brutal tracks to get obliterated to.
As their follow up to their 2022 full-length Seething Malevolence, the band are emphasizing how it’s going to blow people away when it’s finally released. Vocalist Kane Gelaznik said the themes on this next one are going to be more oppressive this time around.
“The biggest thing I want to get across with this record and that humanity doesn’t know everything. We are flawed, and in a lot of ways disgusting. We act like we aren’t afraid of what happens after we die. I know most people like to think nothing happens and we just conduct heat. That there’s no consequence other than how we effect other people during our time here, but I know there’s a hint of fear in the back of everyone’s mind. Everyone feels it. Not a single person on this earth lives without being Terrified of God at one point or another in their life.”
Even though they released one track earlier with the banger “Blood Soaked Death Dream” back in May, today’s release of their new single “Rotting Wool” is a absolute punisher. Speaking of the new track, Kane calls the single “dark and introspective.”
“Rotting Wool is about how even though we try to deceive ourselves and each other we can’t ultimately hide from the truth. In the end we all find out if it was all worth it. We can’t hide from it. Our own failures, insecurities, and inner pain. We can put the wool over our eyes, but it will eventually fall away.”
Terrified of God will be released on October 11 via Century Media, but you can preorder your copy today.
In addition to the new song and album, Vomit Forth are also heading out on a North American tour with The Black Dahlia Murder, Dying Fetus, Spite, and Angelmaker.
