the Jesus Lizard Spread the Disease with “Alexis Feels Sick”

It’s so fucking great that we’re living in a time where new music from the Jesus Lizard is right around the corner. After more than two decades away, the band is returning with a new studio album RACK and we’ve already had the first single “Hide & Seek” for a month now.
Earlier today, the band released their new album’s second single “Alexis Feels Sick”. Having listened to it a bunch today, I can confirm the following:
- Does it have a great bassline? Yes.
- Do the guitars have that signature metallic twang to them? Yessir.
- Is the music video AI-generated but still kinda off-putting? Oh, definitely.
- Should you get hyped about the new album? Don’t even trip — of course.
According to the band, “Alexis Feels Sick” is based on “Girls Against Boys/Soulside drummer Alexis Fleisig’s guarded opinion of modern life.”
Rack will be released on September 13 via Ipecac Recordings and will be available in various formats once it drops, but you can preorder your copy today.
The band also has a number of tour dates lined up, starting tomorrow in Nashville, Tennessee and going well into 2025. You can find the full list of tour dates below.
