Snot Announces California Reunion Dates Along with Appearance at Welcome to Rockville

There’s something we kind of glossed over on Thursday when we reported on the full lineup of Welcome to Rockville and it’s kind of a big deal. Snot’s back. Yep, one of the bands announced for the full lineup of Welcome to Rockville was California nu-metal legends Snot, who haven’t toured in quite a while. And now they’ve got a handful of dates lined up, but the identity of their new singer remains a mystery.
For those of you who don’t remember, the band put out one album in 1997, then broke up in 1998 after frontman Lynn Strait was killed in an accident when a truck hit his car. The band, particularly guitarist Mikey Doling, originally said they would never reunite after Strait’s death, but they’ve gone back on that a few times. They released their album Strait Up, which they had been working on at the time of Strait’s death, in 2000 with several different guest vocalists filling in for Strait including Serj Tankian of System of a Down, Jonathan Davis of Korn, and Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit. They’ve had a few reunion tours since then with substitute vocalists, but they’ve been mostly inactive since 2015.
Welcome to Rockville is in May of 2025, and the band just announced three more dates in California, according to Blabbermouth. Blabbermouth also confirms that all four surviving members of the band’s core lineup, the four members who appear on both Snot albums, are returning: Mikey Doling (lead guitar), Sonny Mayo (rhythm guitar), John Fahnestock (bass), and Jamie Miller (drums). But there’s no word, as of this writing, on who the new vocalist will be. Carl Bensley was the band’s last vocalist, but since that was back in 2015, there’s no telling who will be taking over vocal duties this time around.
The full list of dates is listed below:
Jan. 17 – Anaheim, CA – The Parish at House Of Blues
Jan. 18 – San Diego, CA – Brick By Brick
Feb. 08 – Santa Barbara, CA – SohO
May 15-18 – Daytona Beach, FL – Daytona International Speedway (Welcome To Rockville)
