Legendary Brazilian metal outfit Sepultura came to the City of Brotherly Love earlier this month on what should be their final tour of North America. Buoyed by supporting acts Obituary, Agnostic Front, and Claustrofobia, the Franklin Music Hall got loud with all four acts absolutely tearing shit up.
With this being one of the last shows on the tour, there was definitely a sense of getting to witness the end of an era. And sure, there’s no Max or Igor Cavalera involved, but that’s beside the point. What we did get that night was just a good ol’ fashioned kick ass evening of metal.
Not wanting to miss the opportunity, we got photographer Jess Ripper out to the venue to capture what went down that night. As you can tell from her shots below, it was one hell of a show to attend.
Another big thank you to Jess Ripper, who was at the show to take these great photos. Comment on how good her work is down below. Oh and feel free to follow her on Instagram at @jess1ripper.
