New Linkin Park Singer Emily Armstrong Responds to Danny Masterson Callout

Well, well, well. Here we are again. No one can escape the demons of their past, especially those convicted rapist demons whose entire existence is in some sort of fantasy fuckland. Linkin Park JUST announced how Emily Armstrong of the band Dead Sara would be taking the frontperson slot in the band, but we weren’t going to hear about it quietly. Thanks to Cedric Bixler-Zavala of The Mars Volta, Armstrong came under fire after the announcement due to her former support of disgraced That 70’s Show actor Danny Masterson, and now Armstrong has responded.
In a plain text post to her socials, Armstrong pretty matter-of-factly stated her position at the time.
“I’m new to so many of you, and I wanted to clear the air about something that happened a while back.
“Several years ago, I was asked to support someone I considered a friend at a court appearance, and went to one early hearing as an observer. Soon after, I realized I shouldn’t have. I always try to see the good in people, and I misjudged him. I have never spoken with him since. Unimaginable details emerged and he was later found guilty.
“To say it as clearly as possible: I do not condone abuse or violence against women, and I empathize with the victims of these crimes.”
Bixler-Zavala, a former Scientologist—whose wife Chrissie Carnell-Bixler (also a former Scientologist) was one of the many women who accused Masterson of sexual assault—is making sure no one forgets about this, reviving an old message from last year to make sure we heard him say it with his whole chest.
“Do your fans know about your friend Danny Masterson? Your rapist friend. I’m surprised none of you wrote a letter on Danny Mastersons behalf since your corny ass singer showed up to support him in the prelims. Remember Emily? Remember how your fellow Scientologist goon squad surrounded one of the Jane Doe’s when she was trying to leave the elevators? The court sheriffs had to escort her away from your awful cult… How do you reconcile the homophobia found in the teachings of [church founder L. Ron Hubbard’s] book Dianetics?”
Carnell-Bixler added to that by saying how Armstrong is a “hardcore Scientologist who supported convicted serial rapist both in and out of court.”
“Emily Armstrong is a true believer of the Scientology cult/criminal organization that engages in human and child trafficking, child and elder abuse, the coverups of countless [sexual assaults] on children and adults.”
And of course, since Scientologists are the way that they are, The Church Of Scientology has denied everything, saying that “Church policy explicitly demands Scientologists abide by all laws of the land. All allegations to the contrary are totally false.” Yeah right, bro.
What a big fucking mess. Hopefully, all of this doesn’t totally spray fart on the excitement of all this Linkin Park hubbub but who knows at this point. This is why we can’t have nice things.
