Fans of the weird and wild side of music are going to absolutely dig “Something Is Wrong,” the latest track from Melted Bodies. Continually difficult to pin down to a specific genre or identifiable sound, these guys once again have put something out that’s heavy enough to keep you banging your head, but weird enough to make your ears perk up and go “what the fuck was that?”
In about a month, the band will be releasing their sophomore full-length album The Inevitable Fork. With this latest look behind the curtain, “Something Is Wrong” boasts an oddly foreboding soundscape that manages to make itself just as known in the industrial metal sounding riffs as it does during the weird melodic parts.
With the new song’s release, the band said it’s all about the sort of societal malaise and the powerlessness we might feel when dealing with that over the last few years.
“Something is wrong. We all can feel it. So many of us inundated with the fear surrounding our current political climate and literal world climate it feels at times like it’s paralyzing. We stand in place frozen like a helpless child staring at a movie screen. Watching as we fall apart. War is coming, but not like we thought it would. It’s terrifying, lonely and inevitable.”
The Inevitable Fork will be released on October 18, but you can preorder your copy today.
