If you are looking for some fresh and funky synth-electro music to spice up your playlist, you might want to check out the new single from LISA PUNG, a French duo that describes themselves as "synth-electro-freaks". Their new title ULTRA CHIC VERSION is a catchy and quirky song that blends retro and futuristic sounds with witty lyrics and a touch of humor.
ULTRA CHIC VERSION is available as a digital single on Bandcamp since March 24. You can also stream or download it on Spotify and other platforms from April 7, along with three other tracks that make up their EP. The EP includes BB’s in the box, a playful homage to the legendary Brigitte Bardot, Comme ça (stop), a collaboration with Pascal Languirand, the founder of the Canadian synth-pop band Trans-X, and La jeune fille, a poetic and melancholic ballad.
LISA PUNG consists of SANDIE TRASH, who provides the vocals and composes the music, and CHÖD, who handles the sampler and writes the lyrics. They are joined by LILI FRIKH, who also contributes to the lyrics. The cover artwork was created by FV, based on a photo by ARNO LOTH. The mixing and mastering were done at STUDIO DE LA RIVIERE.
LISA PUNG is not afraid to experiment with different genres and influences, from electro-pop to punk rock to disco. They have a distinctive style that combines glamour and trashiness, irony and sincerity. They are also known for their energetic live performances that often involve costumes and props.
