They may have disbanded back in 2017, but fans of Finnish band HIM have something to get excited about in the year of our lord 2024 and it’s a huge anthology highlighting the band’s early years.
Set to release on October 25, the collection will focus on HIM’s first four studio albums across 16 tracks. We’re talking songs from their 1997 debut album Greatest Lovesongs Vol. 666 to 2003’s Love Metal. And in addition to fan favorite songs like “Right Here In My Arms,” “Join Me In Death,” and “The Funeral of Hearts,” the anthology will also include some of the band’s covers like Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Games” and Blue Öyster Cult’s iconic song “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper.”
Once released, the anthology will be up for grabs in three separate formats: CD, a limited edition 2LP vinyl set on 140g white vinyl with a spot gloss jacket and embossing, and digital.
